Photographer | Photo Editor | Volunteer My sister and I used social media to raise $1,567.56 for survivors of Hurricane Matthew in Haiti. Funds were used to purchase food, medicine, and soap for our hometown of Roche Au Bateau. Food supplies were picked up in the Haitian capital, and my father trucked everything across roads that had washed away. I was able to capture some images that reflect the people's resiliency during the relief efforts. More than 400 hundred people with all types of ailments–fevers, malaria, untreated wounds–were seen. Medicine was dispensed at no charge. We included the receipts for more transparency.
